The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.

Job Summary

Support DRS equipment in operating environments at depots, training sites, and customer field operations with training, operation troubleshooting and repair.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to work independently
• Support all Field Service Activities
• Support Engineering, and Business Development with the setup and support of demonstrations
• Set up and support DRS equipment in operating environments at depots, training sites, and customer field operations with training, operation, or repair
• Regular reporting of progress and status
• Provide budget, cost, and schedule input
• Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
• Participates in preparation of proposals
• May provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
• Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in electronics or related technical field and 5+ years relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience) is requ
• Advanced Electrical Theory
  • Ability to reach schematics and identify basic circuits
  • Utilize test equipment to perform troubleshooting
  • Demonstrate basic personal/electrical safety
  • Understand the steps required to prevent damage to electronics due to electrostatic discharge
  • Ability to train other in troubleshooting techniques/skills
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
• Travel (both US and Foreign) is required
• The ability to obtain a (Secret) security clearance, is required
• A valid driver license or the ability to obtain a valid driver license within 15 working days of hire
• Must possess the ability to obtain a Passport
• Working knowledge of US Military and how to utilize Military technical documentation
• Must possess excellent customer interface skills, communication skills, and advanced problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of basic electronic safety and of the steps required to prevent damage to electronics due to Electrostatic Discharge is required
• Experience; Main Battle Tank Abrams with ED (Embedded Diagnostics) M1A1, M1A2, ETC. Additional knowledge:Bradley Fighting Vehicle (M2/M3-A3) the Striker or the MRAP is preferred
