Description

Responsible for carrying out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application to include: developing data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software; facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing, as well as using the specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies; and establishing an application that produces manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of a structured and semi-structured data. Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security. Design and construct large relational databases. Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality.

Be part an Agile team is responsible for maintaining the application enabling advanced communications analysis applications used to store and analyze transactional metadata for telephone analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

oProvides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.

oEstablishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.

oAs a Subject Matter Expert is an individual whose qualifications and/or expertise are exceptional and/or highly unique.

oHas domain and expert technical knowledge. Performs the following kinds of functions:

oInitiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs;

oProvides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff;

oProvides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues;

oConsults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.

oDecision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation

oMay supervise others.

Basic Qualifications:

oBachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems

oManagement, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

o12-15 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.

oAbility to work well within a small agile team environment

oStrong communication skills

oUS Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

oExperience in maintaining the Apache Hadoop Ecosystem, especially utilizing HBase, MapReduce, and Spark.

oExperience with ETL processes utilizing Linux shell scripting, Perl, Python, and Apache Airflow.

oExperience with AWS services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELB, EMR, KMS, SQS, SNS, and Systems Manager.

oExperience in supporting, maintaining, and migrating JavaFX applications to modern cloud-native solutions.

oDOD Top Secret Clearance is required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
