Aviation & Missile Solutions (AMS) is currently seeking a Convergence Systems Engineer to join our Huntsville, AL. team.
Candidate will support the Program Manager Integrated Fires Mission Command (PM IFMC) in developing, reviewing, and assessing systems for US Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD). This role involves designing, integrating, and maintaining systems to enhance battlefield management, situational awareness, and decision-making capabilities. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise for research, development, integration, and acquisition efforts. The candidate must stay current on Command-and-Control technologies, identify system design alternatives, and coordinate development and implementation into IAMD systems, including the Integrated Battle Command System.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Command-and-Control systems, focusing on hardware and software integration in various form factors, and be adept in systems engineering within an agile development environment. Experience in systems development for Command-and-Control systems is necessary. Specialty engineering knowledge in areas like cybersecurity, radars (e.g., Sentinel A3/A4, Patriot), Army Spectrum Management Office/certification, and/or PEO Command, Control, and Communications-Network (PEO C3N) is desirable. The candidate must understand Technical Data Package (TDP) documentation and be able to update it as engineering solutions are finalized and Engineering Change Proposals are initiated.
The role includes working with government and prime contractor teams to assess component integration approaches, monitor progress, and identify improvements. Strong communication and people skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to manage various concurrent tasks in a team environment are essential. The candidate should research data, analyze information, synthesize options, and make sound recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of C2 systems tailored to Army requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for hardware and software integration.
Support testing and evaluation to ensure reliability, performance, and cybersecurity.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications and design documents.
Ensure systems adhere to military standards, regulations, and best practices.
Identify opportunities for system enhancements and implement innovative solutions.
Required Experience:
Requirements:
US citizenship and a Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Experience in product development and integration/deployment of Command-and-Control systems.
Ability to thrive in an agile development environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, CISSP) are advantageous.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
