Description We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. The Accounting Specialist will primarily be responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our financial department, contributing to accurate financial planning and decision making.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in consistent communication with vendors

• Perform invoice reconciliations for accounts efficiently

• Develop and maintain tracking reports in Microsoft Excel

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records

• Handle inventory accounting tasks accurately

• Reconcile fuel inventory accounts routinely

• Balance accounts on a daily basis

• Utilize the FMS homegrown system for financial management

• Communicate and collaborate effectively using Microsoft Outlook and Teams. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.

• Experience in managing Inventory Records is necessary.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are essential.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with accounting software systems.

• Understanding of financial reporting.
