As an inside sales rep, at our Huntington Station Headquarters, you will have your own territory and work as a team with your partner field sales rep. Teq provides training that enables you to own your business and become the go-to expert that schools want as a consultant. As a sales rep on the national team, which is a growing segment of Teqs business, you will have a pipeline that includes pre-existing customers, but the majority of your time will be spent generating new opportunities. We believe in being honest and transparent with customers. As an Account Executive with Teq, you can be confident that the products you sell are top tier. What youll do
In the first week... Learn Teqs product and service offerings; practice sales techniques Learn systems including our CRM, automated phone system, etc. Meet with different Teq departments and other sales reps to understand customer interactions and how to leverage Teq resources
In the first month... Create presentations of products and services, outline your daily tasks, develop personal goals Observe Teams meetings and sales calls to see how our solutions are pitched, what needs and challenges our customers have, and the Teq value proposition Become familiar with funding sources for schools Learn to accurately log/update progress and collaborate on strategic territory plans Begin working on quotes for fellow sales reps and get feedback on how to create efficient quotes Second month and beyond... Get to know your territory; perfect talking points and sales strategies Meet and exceed targets to earn high commissions Continue cultivating and nurturing relationships to manage pipeline and grow revenue Communicate daily with clients via phone, email, and video chat
Conduct web demos and schedule site visits for your outside sales teammate Identify new opportunities for revenue and expand influence Leverage supporting departments to identify additional product/service needs Participate in on-going educational and training opportunities
Occasionally represent the company at trade shows, on-site demos, etc. What youll bring to the table Ambition to begin or continue a sales career; self-motivated and driven Strong communication skills; ability to build and maintain relationships Excellent organization and time-management skills with ability to prioritize Be highly collaborative, reliable, and a team player A robust work ethic with a sense of accountability Be coachable, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment An open mind, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for learning Compensation and perks $40,000-$50,000 base salary PLUS uncapped commission with opportunity to make over $100k+
