OSV Maintenance Specialist in Huntington, Indiana
Position Pay:
New Hire Wage Rate: $27.27
After 6 Months: $30.51
Must be available to work all shifts.
Primary Purpose:
Maintain facility and associated equipment
Job Duties:
Facility and machine repair including preventative maintenance
Plumbing
Environmental
Production support
Machining of new and replacement parts as needed
Machine troubleshooting – mechanical and electrical
Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics
Use ladders and aerial platforms
Lift up to and including 80 pounds
Mig and stick welding
Operation of all machine shop equipment (mill, lathe, surface grinder)
Light carpentry and construction
Operate motorized industrial vehicles – forklifts and aerial lifts
Travel as requested by company
Identify and implement countermeasures to reduce machine downtime
Support staff with process improvement and projects
Complete training requirements as defined by the Director of Process and Facilities Engineering
All other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Director of Process and Facilities Engineering
Comply with plant safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Requirements:
Strong mechanical aptitude
General knowledge of: PLC, AC/DC motors, servo motors, machining, HVAC, LOTO, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and plumbing
General knowledge of support equipment (compressors, vacuum pumps)
Knowledge of applicable codes, laws, and regulations
Desire to learn, complete required training, and professionally develop
Ability to work in a variety of environments – outdoor, indoor, confined spaces, heights, and all weather conditions
Ability to work independent and work well as part of a team
Take initiative to identify issues and propose solutions
Ability to use a variety of measurement devices
Participate in root cause analysis as required
Ability to work with computer and automated systems
Ability to work overtime or any shift as required
Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day
Ability to be a member of any team as directed by the Director of Process and Facilities Engineering
Complete work orders in a timely fashion
Implement, maintain, and improve Preventative Maintenance programs
Communicate effectively with employees at various levels of the organization
Willingness to comply with all company polices and procedures
Education:
High School Diploma/GED
Valid driver’s license
2-year technical degree or 4-year degree preferred
Experience
3 years in General Facilities Maintenance preferred
3 years of electrical experience preferred
3 years of PLC experience preferred
Machining experience is a plus
