LA Testing is seeking a Laboratory Assistant in Huntington Beach, CA. This is support position for the laboratory manager and the analysts. It will oversee preparing, shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Receive environmental samples and log in/data entry the Chain of Custody into LIMS systemReview paperwork for incoming samples to ensure complete and accuratePlace samples in proper storage areasPrepare environmental samples prior to analysisAssist with cleaning and maintenance of lab equipmentGood lab practiceAccept shipping and handling items received by the laboratory from clientsAssist with high volume customer service client questions via in person, phone, and e-mailOther laboratory and administrative duties such as filing, faxing, copying may be assigned by lab staff and manager as neededCross training in other areas as needed to meet business demandsRequirements:High School degree/equivalentOne to two years of previous academic or commercial lab experience is a plusAbility to work independently and with a teamGood communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills.Proficient in MS Office especially EXCEL and typingExcellent customer service skills customer service experience is a plusMust be willing and able to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignmentsAvailable Shift:Tuesday to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Training schedule to start will be Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.For consideration, all candidates must apply through our company website: https://phf.tbe.taleo.net/phf02/ats/careers/v2/viewRequisition?org=EMSL&cws=40&rid=4483LA Testing offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending account.
