Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Receiving Clerk responsible for managing incoming shipments and goods. The successful candidate will ensure all shipments are properly labeled, documented, and accurately inspected.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and goods.

• Ensure all incoming shipments are properly labeled with correlating documents.

• Physically unwrap orders, visually inspect products, and ensure accuracy of incoming shipments.

• Check incoming goods against bills of lading, packaging slips, etc.

• Verify nomenclature, identification, and quantity.

• Maintain records of goods received.

• Determine storage areas for incoming shipments and allocate appropriate space within the warehouse.

• Assist in physically moving incoming items to designated storage areas and supervise storage activities.

• Use hand trucks and other equipment to move parts to proper locations and load/unload freight trucks as necessary.

Essential Skills

• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.

• Ability to read and count accurately.

• Basic mathematical skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as a Standup Forklift (training provided).

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Adaptability and flexibility in problem-solving and communication with team leaders.

• Ability to follow instructions and comply with all safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment.

• Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, persistence.

• Ability to work overtime as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience (certification not required, training provided).

Our Client is a family-owned company with 300 employees across three different buildings. The company offers over 30 finishes to its customers, producing high-quality brass fixtures crafted by skilled artisans. The work environment involves various forms of metal finishing to maintain high standards and quality craftsmanship.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
