Job Title: 1st Shift Precision Racker

Job Description

The Precision Racker supports the Machine Operator by fixturing products onto designated racks to be washed and coated in the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) vacuum coating machines. This position is responsible for properly tagging, documenting, recording, and maintaining production logs.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the flow of production per PVD coating sequence.

  • Maintaining work orders collected and processed completely, ensuring traceability of customer property.

  • Using extreme caution with customer products and tooling to avoid damage.

  • Learning proper fixturing techniques for placing parts on racks and un-racking parts per work order.

  • Selecting racks according to size, shape, and number of parts to be processed.

  • Manually transferring racked products (weighing up to 40 pounds) to automated cleaning baskets and carousels.

  • Visually inspecting parts to verify finish complies with specifications.

  • Completing paperwork and tags for parts.

  • Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and following prescribed safety regulations.

Essential Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience performing similar work in a related field such as Manufacturing, or a Machine Shop is preferred.

  • Hands-on and working knowledge of mechanical and computer-controlled machinery.

  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.

  • A sense of urgency and efficiency in all tasks.

  • Initiative and ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, persistence.

  • Adaptability/flexibility when encountering problems and ability to communicate discrepancies to a team leader.

  • Ability to follow instructions and all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe operation of lift trucks and machinery.

  • Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment

The company is family-owned and employs 300 people across three different buildings. With over 30 finishes offered to customers, the products are not mass-produced but crafted with care. All brass fixtures require various forms of metal finishing to achieve the high standards and quality craftsmanship the company is known for.

Additional Information:

  • 1st shift Precision Racker

  • $18.00/hr.

  • Monday-Friday: 5:15am-2:00pm

  • Must be flexible to work Overtime

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
