General Description:

Leading a sourcing team responsible for several component categories, this strategic role is focused on development of procurement strategy, productivity delivery, supplier innovation development, and participation in cross-functional new product development teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sourcing strategy development and implementation across multiple component sub-categories with annual global spend responsibility of $130 $150M.

  • Manage and engage sub-category team members driving engagement and an attitude of continuous improvement & growth. Partner with regional procurement team members to enable efficient project execution and communication.

  • Manage and drive continuous improvement metrics such as cost productivity, working capital, geographic supply diversification, and single source reliance.

  • Develop and lead productivity projects in support of business goals based on - but not limited to the following areas: Supplier selection, Supplier Consolidation / Introduction, Negotiated Savings, NPD Changes, Quality Enhancements, Raw Material Changes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as supply/demand planning, operations, engineering, marketing, quality, and finance to effectively drive accurate material forecasting, purchasing, compliance and standardized processes that enable continuity of supply, reduces E&O exposure, lowers material cost and ensures alignment between sourcing strategy and overall Operating Segment objectives.

  • Represent procurement as a key stakeholder to cross-functional peers from groups inclusive of R&D, quality, brand marketing, supply chain, and finance.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of sourcing experience or demonstrated performance managing comparable scope of responsibility.

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a business, engineering or related field.

  • Demonstrated track record of leading teams and delivering results against performance metrics.

  • Strong project management skills and experience.

  • Global sourcing experience in consumer products preferred.

  • Must have good communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Must be highly motivated and able to drive results independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%.

  • Proven leadership skills and talent development skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
