Job Description
The Manager, Training and Sales Enablement will play a critical role in enhancing the capabilities of our commercial teams by developing and delivering technical and sales training programs. This role will be key to ensuring that our Field Application Scientists (FAS), Technical Sales Specialists (TSS), and Bioproduction Account Managers (BAM) are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to understand customer needs, position Cell Culture and Cell Therapy (CCCT) solutions effectively, and win business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner closely with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Field Applications and HR to align training content with strategic business priorities.
• Design and deliver engaging, impactful technical training programs for the Field Application Scientist (FAS) team, ensuring they have a deep understanding of our products, solutions, and applications. Together with FAS leadership coordinate the annual FAS onsite training with R&D.
• Create and implement sales training programs for the Technical Sales Specialist team and Bioproduction Account Managers.
• Be responsible for the training program for onboarding and continuous training for FAS and TSS, including training for NPIs, workflow and applications data.
• Use expertise in adult learning theories and principles to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
• Further a culture of continuous learning and development within the commercial teams.
• Partner with product management and market development to develop and roll out training that empowers the commercial teams to effectively communicate the value proposition of CCCT solutions.
• Equip the commercial teams with the skills to address customer needs, overcome objections, and differentiate Thermo Fisher’s offerings in driven environments.
• Use technology platforms (LMS, e-learning tools, etc.) to lead, organize, and distribute training content across the organization.
• Report on key training metrics, outcomes, and return on investment to leadership.
• Plan, organize and implement virtual and field-based trainings and deliver training at global, national and regional sales meetings
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Education, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 5 or more years shown ability in training, sales enablement, or learning and development, preferably within the life sciences or biotechnology industry.
• Strong knowledge of Thermo Fisher’s product portfolio and the commercial landscape in bioproduction market.
• Shown experience in developing and delivering technical and sales training programs for teams with varied strengths.
• Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, and the application of these principles in real-world training programs.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other technology platforms used for content creation, delivery, and tracking.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure and report on training effectiveness and business impact.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in bioproduction, scientific sales, or laboratory equipment markets.
• Knowledge of e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate).
• Certification in instructional design or training development methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $103,100.00–$154,700.00.
