BECOME A WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR AT PRIMEFLIGHT!

Our Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the airport's warehouse facility. This role involves supervising and leading a team of warehouse staff, including cargo handlers and stock clerks, to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. You will coordinate shipments, monitor inventory levels, and implement inventory control procedures to optimize warehouse efficiency. Additionally, this position requires conducting regular inspections of warehouse facilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and resolving any issues related to inventory accuracy or cargo handling. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth operation of the airport's warehouse and cargo handling services.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

· Supervise daily warehouse operations: Oversee and coordinate activities related to the receipt, handling, storage, and dispatch of goods

· Lead and manage warehouse staff: Provide direction and supervision to warehouse personnel, ensuring effective team performance

· Ensure adherence to safety regulations: Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with company and legal safety standards

· Monitor inventory levels: Keep track of stock to manage inventory effectively and prevent shortages or excess

· Coordinate the loading and unloading of goods: Oversee the safe and efficient movement of items in and out of the warehouse

· Implement and maintain organization systems: Organize the storage of goods to optimize space and accessibility

· Conduct quality control checks: Ensure the quality of goods received and dispatched meets the required standards

· Prepare and manage shipping documents: Handle paperwork such as bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists

· Liaise with internal departments and external partners: Coordinate with other teams and logistics providers for smooth operations

· Resolve operational issues and bottlenecks: Address challenges to maintain uninterrupted warehouse activities

· Train new employees on warehouse procedures: Orient and train staff on best practices, safety protocols, and operational processes

· Monitor and report on staff performance: Evaluate employee productivity and provide feedback for improvement

· Assist in inventory audits and stocktaking: Lead or participate in regular inventory counts for accuracy and reconciliation

· Manage maintenance of warehouse equipment: Ensure all tools and machinery are kept in good working condition

· Implement process improvements: Continuously seek ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in warehouse operations

· Attention to detail

· May be assigned to other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

· 18 years of age or older

· Eligible to work in the United States

· Previous experience in warehouse supervisory roles

· Strong leadership and team management skills

· Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control

· Effective communication and interpersonal abilities

· Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and procedures

· Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents

· Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices

· Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means

· Pass a background check and drug screen

· Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)

· Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

· Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
