Aerotek Receiving Inspector in Humble, Texas

Job Title: Receiving Inspector 1st Shift

Job Description

The Receiving Inspector will perform product inspections according to engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions to ensure products meet or exceed customer and company requirements. Responsibilities include performing final inspections, in-process inspection, as well as first article inspection and documentation development. The role requires both visual and dimensional inspections. You will also document inspection results into the ERP system.

Hard Skills

  • Clear understanding and working knowledge of shop math, geometry, and trigonometry

  • Ability to understand and calculate angles, diameter, circumference, and radius

  • Experience in setting up, programming, and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM’s) using Calypso software

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints including complex geometric tolerancing, technical and customer specifications, and internal drawings and procedures

  • Solid knowledge of GD&T

  • Ability to use inspection tools and equipment

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 5 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Humble, Texas.

Work Environment

Very clean and orderly shop floor and departments. Climate controlled. This is a manufacturing and production environment; it can be hot and loud at times. Candidates should have previous experience and exposure to a similar environment. Required to have own safety glasses and steel toes. Other necessary PPE will be provided. Second Shift: 2-10pm, M-F with some weekends. Must be flexible on hours.
