Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Traveling Service Technician to serve the Midwest market, focusing on the service and repair of a variety of meters, pumps, registers, and other petroleum equipment. As a leader in designing, manufacturing, and servicing storage, transport, and dispensing solutions for petroleum, propane, and other liquids and gases, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment. Our standard shift is from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, working 45-50 hours each week, with the possibility of starting earlier based on preference. Additional hours may be available upon request.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, rebuild and calibrate meters and related items.

  • Maintain required paperwork.

  • Start-up and service tanker truck terminal load rack equipment, ethanol skids, and other petroleum equipment.

  • Install and repair grounding and overfill prevention systems.

  • Perform warranty work, inspections, and emergency service work.

  • Test and operate equipment.

  • Travel overnight on weekdays (90% travel), returning home on weekends.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

  • Service and installation experience.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Field service experience.

  • Preventive maintenance knowledge.

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

  • Basic understanding of hydraulic principles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics.

  • 1+ year of proven professional mechanical repair and troubleshooting experience.

  • Analytical aptitude.

Work Environment

We cover lodging expenses, with a $55 per diem for food. A company vehicle is provided for work within a four-state radius of Minnesota. The role involves working outside in various environments, which may be dirty. While 90% travel is required, we offer flexibility for personal or family needs. Typically, you will drive home on Fridays and return to work on Mondays. Depending on the job location, you may start work on Tuesday, with paid drive time on Monday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
