Location: Howard Beach, Queens, NY

Other available location: Middletown, NY

Pay Rate: $26.25 per hour

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM (40hrs)

HYBRID SCHEDULE

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

This position will assist with maintaining compliance as well as providing administrative support to the Self-Direction program.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Training of Self-Hired staff on compliance standards including but not limited to: Using eVero mobile app, Daily notes, Monthly Summary Notes, Electronic Visit Verification, etc.

  • Assist Self-Hired staff, Brokers and FI Coordinators with eVero support; including but not limited to troubleshooting issues, training on eVero/eVero mobile app, reports and training on maximizing functionality of the eVero system.

  • Be subject Matter Expert Liason for Electronic Health Record

  • Act as lead trainer of SHS during Orientation process

  • Manage staff pay processes/ review and reconciliation.

  • Research and resolve discrepancies in pay and hours

  • Manage Billing rates for SHS

  • Ensure billing standards are met; facilitate Medicaid and State billing processes.

  • Invoice review and verification as needed

  • Assist with creating vendor accounts and set up in eVero.

  • Assist with staff Corrective Action Process

  • Provide general oversight and assistance to Self-Direction program to maintain compliance and identify issues that can hinder compliance and assist with resolution in a timely manner.

  • Assist with distribution of annual notices and/or communications to service recipients.

  • Participate in program meetings and trainings

  • Carry small caseload of participants

  • Support monitoring of timely billing for Broker and SHS staff

  • Assist leadership with analysis of budget utilization

  • Support Housing Subsidy Participants

  • Create Staff accounts in Electronic Health Record

  • Process expenditure reports monthly

  • Additional duties may be assigned at a later date.

    ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:

  • Maintain successful working relationships with support programs including Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Finance, and IT and all members of the Self-Direction team

  • Coverage of FI Coordinator caseload on an as needed basis – cover Life Plan and/or COS meetings, review budgets, invoices, compliance review, general customer service, etc.

  • Assignments may be determined at a future date

    QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi- task

  • Strong organization skills with accurate attention to detail

  • Able to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to effectively utilize a variety of electronic systems such as Microsoft Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word and time and attendance systems

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years of experience in OPWDD services

  • Experience in program operations or compliance of programming

  • Knowledge of adms/OPWDD guidance

    PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long-periods of time
