Location: Howard Beach, Queens, NY

Salary: $72,500.00 Annually

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM (40hrs)

This position may require you to commute within New York State.

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

This position will assist in the oversight of the daily operations and outcomes of the Self-Direction program.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide training and supervision to FI Coordinators and support staff

  • Monitor regulatory compliance of the program

  • Monitor customer feedback and work to resolve any complaints and concerns

  • Stay abreast of trends and practices in the field

  • Act as a leadership liaison for oversight agencies and partners in the community

  • Maintain and create program procedures, workflows, and protocols that support successful outcomes

  • Assist leadership in oversight of financial outcomes of the program

  • Resolving eligibility challenges including monitoring the CHOICES system

  • Conducts Broker Intake meetings and initiate broker hiring process

  • Conducts New Member Intake meetings and enter all new participants in the eVero system

  • Caseload management and admin tool box functions

  • Conducts member trainings as needed

  • Commute to on-site location (NYFAC) as needed and requested for meetings, trainings, audits, etc.

  • Meets and corresponds with members and advocates on an as needed basis to address concerns

  • Implements and educates staff on OPWDD ADMs and guidance updates

    ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:

  • Maintain successful working relationships with support programs including Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Finance, and IT

  • Assignments may be determined at a future date

    QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi- task

  • Strong organization skills with accurate attention to detail

  • Able to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to effectively utilize a variety of electronic systems such as Microsoft Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word and time and attendance systems

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or

  • Associate’s degree with two years of experience

  • Three years of experience in a supervisory role

  • Experience supervising self-directed programs

    PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long-periods of time
