Job Skills / Requirements

United Protective Services is looking for a 30 hour part time Residential Security Officer. This is a permanent shift. Additional hours can be added from another site to make full time.

Great for beginners in security!!

Schedule $12.50

77007 (Must be within 15 miles of site)

Drivers license required!

Friday 2000-0600 -10 hours

Saturday 1900-0500-10 hours

Sunday 1900-0500-10 hours

Job Duties

  • Be prompt to assignments and in complete uniform.

  • Maintain a professional image in accordance with policy & procedures

  • Greets customers, visitors, and employees in a polite and friendly manner.

  • Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information.

  • Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position, being diligent to report any suspicious activity and investigate accidents and criminal acts.

  • Monitor cameras or equipment in a continuous fashion as outlined in the post orders.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures, and regulations to be able to respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.

  • Complete Daily Activity Reports, Logbook entries, Incident Reports and all relevant reports related to job assignment.

  • Make recommendations to management on improvements to safety and loss prevention processes as identified during daily routine.

  • Have knowledge of any life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system computer, and other such equipment to complete job assignments.

  • Know authorized contractor personnel who are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of equipment.

  • Communicate daily with Security Supervisor any new security issues or changes that need to be considered or implemented.

  • Deny unauthorized visitors, guests and contractors’ access into the residential property.

    Education Requirements (Any)

    High School Diploma or GED
