EOG Resources, Inc. Title Analyst in Houston, Texas

EOG is seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Title Analyst within our Land Administration department. The primary purpose of the Title Analyst is to support the leasing, operations, and production objectives of EOG's domestic division offices. The Title Analyst is responsible for lease and contract analysis, joint interest billing and division of interest setup, and maintaining current interest ownership across all records.

Duties and Responsibilities

Review and maintain lease ownership, payments, and obligations Monitor lease status, transferring acreage to producing based on plats and unit summaries Communicate with division Land personnel to tender lease extensions, minimum royalties, shut-in payments, and all other required payments Set-up and apply terms of contracts, including but not limited to Communitization Agreements, Unit Declarations, Joint Operating Agreements, and Farmouts Perform well record maintenance for EOG operated properties based on information received from division Operations Build and maintain joint interest billing decks Set-up and maintain division of interest decks for revenue distribution, including but not limited to calculation/verification of net revenue interest, identification of title requirements for suspense purposes, application of lease deduct provisions, creation of burden groups, and calculation of APO interests Communicate effectively with interest owners to timely resolve all inquiries and obtain necessary documents for title curative and owner account updates Analyze curative and conveyance documents such as deeds, probate, and assignments in order to make mineral, royalty, and working interest ownership updates Verify EOG's interest in outside operated wells Assist with acquisition, divestiture, due diligence, internal/external audits, data conversions, escheat, and other special projects Collaborate with Land, Legal, Accounting, and other EOG departments to ensure company success Perform all stated duties in compliance with EOG's SOX control functions and operational processes, placing focus on promotion of data integrity

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and/or prior experience in a Land/Land Administration role Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Comfortable and confident in learning new computer applications Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment Possess strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills Self-motivated and eager to be an active participant in personal growth via participation in training/mentoring opportunities, membership in professional organizations, and attendance of industry seminars/conferences Professionalism in the handling of confidential and proprietary company information Ability to work independently with good decision-making skills while remaining conscious of deadlines
