Job Title: TIG Welder

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to perform repair work on gas turbine components. The role involves welding on thin materials, ranging from 40-60 thousand gauge, predominantly stainless steel but also other alloys such as hastex, pneumonic, cobalt, and super alloys. Controlling heat is crucial due to the thinness of the materials. The welder will also be responsible for prepping their own work and blending the welds using various grinders and sanders. Precision is paramount as the parts are thin and very expensive.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on gas turbine components, including blades, nozzles, combustion parts, blocks, and shrouds.

  • Work with thin materials (40-60 thousand gauge) and control heat during welding.

  • Prep own work and blend welds using grinders and sanders.

  • Cut out/grind the portion that needs to be repaired, fill it back with 100% weld, and smooth it over to patch it up.

  • Ensure precision due to the high cost of parts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
