YOUR FUTURE TEAM As part of TCEQs Office of Waste, you would contribute to agency efforts to regulate the generation, treatment, storage, and disposal of various wastes and the cleanup of contaminated sites. See details about what we do. This position is a member of our Remediation Division. KEY QUALIFICATIONS Experience in assessment and/or remediation of sites under Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP). Experience in preparing and reviewing technical and/or regulatory correspondence (e.g., technical reports, letters). Experience conducting presentations to and/or responding to inquiries from the public, government officials, and the media. Experience in complex project management (i.e., responsible for scope, schedule, budget, client/customer interaction, managing contractors/subcontractors). Bachelors and/or graduate degree in Science or Engineering. Qualifications: HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING... Coordinate, leads, and oversee staff and programs; evaluate workload and assign projects. Complete special projects, as assigned. Review staff correspondence, including work orders, to ensure they are technically sound, adhere to laws, rules, and guidance, and are clear and grammatically correct. Ensure that deadlines are met. Train and develop staff; identify training needs; and assure that team members understand technical concepts, regulatory requirements, project management, and time management concepts. Provide leadership, management support, program guidance, to the team/section/division and agency staff. Complete personnel management functions which includes hiring and performance management; track and assure professional development requirements of staff and team performance goals and objectives are met. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE Experience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment. OR Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.
