Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Staff - Public in the Professional Services industry located in Houston, Texas, 77084, United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tax services for our diverse client base. This role involves engagement in corporate, partnership, and individual tax services, planning and executing tax strategies, and researching potential tax issues.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in providing a variety of tax services including corporate, partnership, and individual tax services

• Develop, plan, and execute effective tax strategies

• Conduct research on potential tax issues as necessary

• Prepare and/or review returns for corporate, partnership, or individuals, including federal

• Foster and maintain relationships with existing clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities

• Supervise and provide leadership to Tax Staff

• Utilize UltraTax, Corporate Tax Return, and Partnership Tax skills in execution of responsibilities

• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously

• Employ creative problem-solving and research skills in tackling complex tax issues

• Ensure excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are utilized in all interactions.

Requirements • Proficiency in Ultra Tax software

• Strong understanding and experience with Corporate Tax Return

• Experience in Partnership Tax

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law

• Willingness to work overtime during busy tax season.
