We are hiring a General Manager who will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations at Company's Houston location and guiding general business strategy. You will also assist management to achieve their goals and ensure that all teams are functioning well.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews analysis of activities, cost, operations, and forecast data to determine departmental progress toward stated goals and objectives.

  • Confers with President and other Management personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status conditions.

  • Oversees each assigned department to review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and facility problems to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays and to meet future growth.

  • Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.

  • Reviews and supports Administrative, Fabrication, Quality, Engineering, Shipping & Receiving and Sales departments.

  • Oversees design concepts with fundamental or new technology used to ensure team is on the right track to provide cost reduction, safety, customer requirements and market growth.

  • Reviews and approves preparation of accounting analysis: used for budgetary planning and implementation, product efficiency, financial reporting, budgetary planning and submittal for capital expenditures.

  • Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, fabrication, and facility problems to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays and to meet future growth.

  • Provide leadership support for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.

  • Drive operational efficiency at SIT – Houston location to ensure on-time delivery of projects, manage labor and material costs and protect the profitability of projects.

  • Ensure location's compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, health, safety, environment, and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost.

  • Support and participate in the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 and understand the implications of not complying with the quality management system.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • Ten (10) years of work experience in sales, operations, strategy for manufacturing company.

  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a management position.

  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Project Coordination: Ability to coordinate disparate efforts across various departments to deliver cohesive and timely project outcomes.

  • Clear Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with individuals at all organizational levels.

  • Diverse Business Experience: Extensive experience across multiple business functions, including inventory management, ERP systems, facilities management, sales, and finance.

  • Leadership and Team building: Proven leadership abilities, with a focus on team-building, motivation, and inspiring teams to achieve high performance.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify, analyze, and solve complex business challenges effectively.

  • Operational Oversight: Experience in overseeing production, operations, and facilities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with company goals.

  • Budgetary Planning: Competence in preparing and reviewing accounting analyses for budgetary planning, financial reporting, and capital expenditure submissions.

  • Quality and Compliance: Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience ensuring compliance with quality management systems, safety, health, and environmental regulations.

  • Strategic Business Management: Ability to guide and influence business strategy, aligning departmental goals with overall company objectives for growth and success.
