Responsibilities

Supervise daily clinical operations of the Central Sterile Processing Department in accordance with established Federal, State, and AAAHC regulations and Center policies and procedures. Responsible for clinical activities such as staffing, ensuring Policy and Procedures followed, educational activities in the CSPD areas, ensuring staff follows Quality Improvement Program, Infection Control and Safety plans. Ensures proper decontamination, cleaning, inspection and sterilization of all equipment, supplies and instrumentation following AAMI and AORN guidelines as well as manufacturer’s instructions for use

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $54,186 - $66,936 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: High School Graduate or GED; Graduate of approved Central Sterile Processing Tech program.

Preferred: Certified Surgical Technician

Experience

Required: 5 years working as a certified CSPD technician with 2 of those years in a supervisory role

Preferred: 5 + years CSPD Supervisory experience

License(s)

Required: Certification in CSPD

BLS through the American Heart Association

Preferred: N/A

Special Skills

Required: Leadership/management skills

Preferred: Familiarity with instrument tracking system.

Other

Required: Basic Computer Knowledge

Preferred: Excel, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Word

Working Environment: Office
