We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Houston, Texas near the Jersey Village area. As a Staff Accountant, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including ensuring the accuracy of financial data, managing accounts, and assisting in internal audits.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing customer credit applications

• Keeping precise customer credit records

• Addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions

• Handling both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements through data analysis

• Utilizing advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting

• Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and company records

• Preparing and posting journal entries as part of the month-end close process

• Maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations through participation in internal audits.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Staff Accountant

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliation procedures

• Ability to maintain and manage General Ledger

• Experience in Journal Entries preparation

• Expertise in Month End Close procedures

• Tech savvy
