Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the financial services industry based in Houston, Texas. This role is for a Sr. Accountant with a focus on high volume reconciliations. The successful candidate will be joining our Credit Union team, responsible for a range of accounting tasks and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct account reconciliations using BLACKLINE software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Maintain and balance various financial reports and records.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.

• Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Collaborate with team members to complete financial tasks and projects.

• Assist in the development of financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of the organization.

• Provide recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation.

• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

• Resolve accounting discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant, preferably in a credit union setting

• Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly desirable

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
