Actalent Satellite Assembly, Integration, And Test System Engineer in Houston, Texas

Description:

The Satellite AIT System Engineer will be responsible for the Electrical system AIT design, performance analysis, Test Plans & Test Methods definitions, EGSEs definition, implementation and testing in support of MDA Telecommunication or remote Sensing satellites.

Responsibilities:

  • Support, define & Write engineering documentations: Test Plans, Satellite system test requirements, SOC, verification and validation matrix, design description, Test procedures

  • Participate in cross-functional teams

  • Production of relevant EGSE documentation, as needed

  • Satellite and payload assembly Integration and Test, including flasats

  • Attend test reviews: TRR, TRB, DRB, and NCR’s

  • Support Satellite and payload testing: EGSE, Test supervision, data analysis, trending

  • Support Satellite tests at S/C supplier premises or selected Test house

  • Support In-Orbit Test (IOT)

  • Write up Payload Operations Manual

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as:

  • Performance Network analyzer

  • High sampling oscilloscope

  • Spectrum analyzer

  • Arbitrary waveform generator

  • Modems

  • Knowledge of Signal Processing theory

  • Knowledge of Orbital Mechanic and Spacecraft modes

  • Knowledge of Satellite Bus Sub-systems such as EPS, C&DH, PROP, TT&C

10+ years
