Siemens Energy Sales Manager Marine & Offshore in Houston, Texas

A Snapshot of Your Day

This role leads the Sales activities for the of Siemens Energy Maritime & Offshore portfolio in the Western US with a Primary focus in the Maritime Industry including:

  • Develop and close opportunities to meet the individual sales targets.

  • Owns the development and execution of market and account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals.

  • Guides business development within assigned key accounts and/or markets.

  • Develops relationship and sponsorship with key decision-makers at key shipyards, owner/operators and naval architects.

  • Leads must-win opportunities to develop sales strategy, technical solution, proposals, negotiation and closing the deals.

  • The role will report to the Head of Maritime & Offshore North America

How You’ll Make an Impact

The specific responsibilities and deliverables associated with this role.

  • Win profitable orders

  • Ensure customer satisfaction with assigned shipbuilders and owner/operators

  • Develop and implement detailed account plans at key market accounts.

  • Develop relationship at key market accounts

  • Lead capture teams and develops capture large and significant Must Win opportunities.

  • Works closely with other Maritime & Offshore NA Sales Managers, the Project Execution and Bid Management Teams in USA and Canada.

What You Bring

  • BS, EE or ME, Marine Engineering and or Vessel Design (Naval Architect)

  • Proven track record of at least 8+ years in marine sales. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.

  • Previous marine industry, shipyard, or US Navy experience

  • Previous sales and business development experience

  • 50% travel (based on location)

  • Required knowledge, skills, or expertise

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Demonstrates Knowledge of Marine market with contacts at shipyards, owner’s operator and naval architects in the USA.

  • Demonstrates knowledge in Marine & Offshore electrical, automation and propulsion applications and solutions.

  • Previous experience selling large, capital new build projects.
