Performance Metrics: The role of Sales Coordinator is critical in securing new business for Powell. The Sales Coordinator is primarily measured on timely responses to new inquiries generated by internal or external customers for PSD. This position is essential for in-office support for the regional and executive sales people for PSD. Posted position does not allow for sponsorship or relocation assistance.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Handling the sales inquiries generated by the PSD quoting portal

  • Creation and maintenance of the Sales Opportunities in Powell’s sales software tool called Dynamics (MSD) and uploading RFQ documents to the corresponding locations.

  • Assist Sales with filings out commercial documentations and obtaining necessary documents required for Bid Proposals.

    Secondary Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sales team with order entry by reviewing Purchase Orders for accuracy, making sure all documents for Project Management are in the correct locations, and sending the project to PM team via Dynamics (MSD).

  • Assist and/or take ownership of creating and completing sales proposals for expedited non-technical requests.

  • Manage Grant of Authority approval process.

    Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Computer Skills: ERP system Oracle; Microsoft Office Suite; previous experience utilizing Excel, Word and Oracle with the ability to learn new software programs

  • Customer Oriented

  • Able to manage multiple priorities

  • Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives; develops realistic action plans in order to meet deadlines

  • Problem Solving: Gathers and analyzes information using inquisitive mind, using strong logical, methodical and systematic skills

  • Work independently with little or no supervision

  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

    Working Conditions

  • Temperature controlled working environment. Some outside activities may be required.

  • Typical office environment; may experience minor discomfort from extensive use of a computer display and keyboard; travel between buildings on campus and between campuses

    Physical Requirements

  • Maintaining body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs.

  • Perceiving size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with the fingertips.

  • Sitting, standing and walking for long periods of time.

  • Typing, punching or applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
