Hyatt Reservations + Group Room Coordinator in HOUSTON, Texas

Candidate will manage group reservations and group rooms inventory as part of the convention services process

· Establish initial contact with customer at file turnover

· Maintain relationship with customer, up to arrival, for all matters pertaining to guest room usage, including obtaining no-show and wash history, obtaining and managing changes to rooming lists and tracking and managing the inventory for all groups

· Cancellation/ no show reports and payment processes on these charges

· Manage OTA extranet guest interaction & reviews

· Inventory management to ensure house is set and selling correctly

· Review reservations booked the previous day to ensure

o VIP guests are marked

o Package inclusions are attached appropriately

o Ensure reservations comments and notes are updated with requests

o Prepayment

· Answering phone calls and responding to email from potential guests who are interested in making reservations or may have room reservation related questions.

· Processing reservations, cancellations and modifications using reservation software

· Collecting payment from guests with prepayment reservations

· Manage billing setup in PMS for group and transient reservations

· Business travel corporate and leisure reservation requests

· Assist revenue team with loading and managing rate plans

· Ensure market segmentation is correct on incoming reservations/rate codes

· Manage wholesale cutoff calendar

· Revenue management projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of Word, Excel and Encore/Spirit

  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills

  • Excellent time-management skills

  • Excellent customer service and interface skills

  • Understanding of rooms merchandising and yield management processes
