Siemens Energy Repair Quoting - Team Lead in Houston, Texas

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Repair Quoting – Team Lead will lead a team responsible for producing inspection and repair proposals for all the North America shops. This role collaborates with our regional sales teams, shops, supply chain, finance and legal teams to develop quotes that meet our clients’ requirements and adhere to internal SE guidance & policies.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Successfully lead a team of repair quote specialists, ensuring completion of repair proposals on time, in line with customer requirements, and in compliance with all Siemens Energy policies & guidelines.

  • Receive and review customer RFQ or internal quote requests, work scopes and associated forms and supporting documentation for inspection and overhaul jobs to be performed in the North America shops.

  • Lead development of the quote which includes evaluating customer’s project requirement; identifying the necessary repair work scopes and execution strategy; performing benchmarking and risk analysis; and developing exceptions and clarifications as necessary.

  • Lead weekly team meetings, delegate team workload, escalate team concerns and maintain Repair Quoting KPI’s.

  • Establish & lead S&OP meeting with repair centers to ensure resources are allocated to meet quoted lead times.

  • Ensure timely processing of customer purchase orders and project booking after performing necessary reviews as per Siemens Energy policy.

  • Maintain accurate document storage for quotes and ensure correct data management within the established databases.

  • Work to drive continuous process improvements with focus on internal tools and processes.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferably in one or several of the following areas: Engineering, Operations Management, Construction Management, Field Services, Turnkey Projects, Operations and Maintenance in the Oil and Gas and/or Power Generation industries.

  • 8+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success preferably in Repair Center and Overhaul shops and/or Quote Development in Oil and Gas industry.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment including rotating and reciprocating compressors, gas engines and steam turbines.

  • Experience with leading early phase of project life cycle and cost.

  • Proficient in CRM tools like Salesforce, ERP Systems like SAP and Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.).

  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, writing, and proofreading skills!

  • Ability to work and lead multiple concurrent engagements simultaneously, with special attention to the deadlines and quality of the quotes.

  • Travel may be required up to 10%.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
