Robert Half Project Manager/Sr. Consultant in Houston, Texas
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, based in Houston, Texas, United States. In this role, you will be leading multiple concurrent projects, defining project objectives and scope, overseeing quality control, and coordinating the efforts of team members to deliver according to plan.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of multiple concurrent projects.
• Define project objectives and scope for each project phase, ensuring quality control throughout the project’s life cycle.
• Manage resources and coordinate the efforts of team members to deliver projects/products according to plan.
• Handle day-to-day activities of projects and project resources, including creating, managing, and tracking project documents such as project schedules, financials, detailed project plans, scope documents, work breakdown structures, resource plans, communication plans, risk and issue logs and regular status reporting.
• Be responsible for the project cost management of projects including planning, budgeting, funding, coding invoices, forecasting, managing, and controlling costs.
• Organize, conduct, and attend meetings with project team and stakeholders to facilitate all levels of project planning.
• Lead steering committee meetings with IT and Business leadership, and also lead technical and requirements gathering sessions.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers as needed, managing expectations, presenting, and interfacing with stakeholders.
• Work with project managers of other teams to ensure overall business and operational requirements are met.
• Drive decisions, including difficult tradeoffs between resources, schedule, and functionality.
• Work with third party integration teams to coordinate integration and testing.
• Create and maintain relationships across the organization. Requirements • Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with Cisco Technologies
• Proficiency in Cloud Technologies, including implementation and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Database management, including setup, maintenance, and optimization
• Demonstrable experience with Agile Scrum methodology in project management
• Strong knowledge of Budget Processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting
• Proficiency in Active Directory, including user and group management
• Solid experience in using Project Management Software for project planning and tracking Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
