Siemens Energy Project Lead Engineer - P in Houston, Texas

Snapshot of Your Day

The Project Lead Engineer handles the complete technical scope for supply of new packaged rotating equipment for onshore and offshore projects. This includes gas turbine-driven generators/compressors and electric motor-driven compressor trains, typically with extended plant scope (coolers, scrubbers, anti-surge valves, etc.)

The selected candidate will lead global technical project teams of multi-discipline engineers, designers and suppliers, and will be the primary contact for technical interactions with the Customer, working in collaboration with the project manager.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage all technical aspects of the projectwith internal and external clients, to deliver the equipment per contractualrequirements.

  • Develop and monitor the engineering scheduleand supervise the engineering budget.

  • Provide guidance to the team on designdecisions, such as overall system control philosophies and main equipmentspecification.

  • Provide engineering support during proposal,manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning and operation.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering relatedfield (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls or Petroleum is preferred).

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience indesign, packaging, or operation of rotating equipment or auxiliary systems forrotating equipment; Candidates with more years of experience may be eligiblefor a more senior level position.

  • Must be detail oriented and organized

  • Have the ability to identify problem areas andtake initiative to resolve issues.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skillsare essential!

  • Ability to travel (Domestic or International)for meetings and site visits as the need arises
