Job overview and responsibilities
The Mosaic Program is focused on revolutionizing and modernizing our existing Passenger Services System (PSS), and the Product team you’ll join is working to retire United’s PSS and migrate to a cloud-based platform to emerge as a modern retailing leader in Order/Offer management systems. This position will play a critical role in continuing to develop our transformative strategy, with a particular focus on smart technology and artificial intelligence (AI) which will support our ambitions. This role will require an understanding of both business and technology, as well as a strong customer-centric focus as we are looking to redefine core business processes and technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to “change the unchangeable” and build a new, innovative passenger service system (PSS) that will shape the industry for years to come!
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business and technology partners
Lead strategy and research sessions, projects, and meetings with business and technology partners to gather, understand and document needs and requirements
Understand relevant technologies, capabilities and offerings both within United and externally
Co-develop, support, manage, and mature the Mosaic Program’s smart technology and AI strategy, and its product implementations
Participate in and lead the requirements and user story documentation process for Mosaic Program AI projects
Work collaboratively and ensure alignment with product managers, business analysts, scrum masters, project managers, architects, developers, engineers, data scientists, business partners, end users, eQE, and consultants to design, plan and deliver PSS products
Outline success metrics
Monitor progress of deliverables, keep dependent teams and projects informed on progress, take corrective action if deliverables cannot be met or if higher priorities disrupt prior commitments
Present to senior leadership about strategy, projects and progress
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field
4+ years Product Management, Business, or Technology experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills
Strong planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail
Proven experience handling and projects simultaneously
Experience in Agile methodology
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, and Confluence
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Travel up to 25% of the year, including abroad
Hybrid work in the Houston office
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Expertise in airline PSS systems, functionality, and industry standards
Working experience in airport, contact center or airline operations
Expertise of AI and/or implementation of projects/products which use AI
AWS Cloud & Dev Ops knowledge
The base pay range for this role is $109,820.00 to $149,600.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
