Job Description

An employer in the Houston or Chicago area is looking for a Principal Developer to join the Onboard Connectivity and Inflight Entertainment team. This team is building an onboard platform to provide the mechanics to improve customers' onboard connectivity and entertainment experience. This person is expected to have experience designing complex systems using Event Driven Architecture. The role will be 30% architecture focused and 70% development focused. From a day to day, they will be collaborating across multiple scrum teams and key business stakeholders. The Principal Developer will also gather requirements and propose technical solutions to the business to ensure that the solutions are aligned with business objectives. They will also support multiple development and scrum teams and provide oversight as needed. Overall they will be responsible for developing new applications and supporting or refactoring legacy applications as a means of modernizing the inflight Wi-Fi and entertainment system.

This position offers a salary range of $135,000-$150,000 annually.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

7+ years of experience in .Net, ASP.Net, C#, SQL Server

Experience with .Net Core 6, 7 or 8

5+ years of experience in design patterns and enterprise standards in application design

Extensive Event Driven Architecture experience

Experience developing Microservices and APIs from scratch

Experience with observatory tools (Open Telemetry preferred but also open to Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)

Experience working in an AWS environment Experience with CQRS to enhance data visualizations using complex views or models

Understanding of networking protocols within applications

Previous industry experience null
