Job Title: Power Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Power Systems Engineer with extensive experience in the Marine Industry. The candidate must be familiar with Marine Industry standard codes and Classification society regulations, including ABS and USCG regulations. The role involves Marine System Integration, focusing on Energy storage systems, power generation, and distribution (AC & DC), and hybrid multi-drive systems. Key responsibilities include performing power system studies in ETAP and MATLAB, designing Low & Medium voltage AC systems, and developing technical specifications based on customer and system requirements. The candidate must also be capable of relay programming (Logic and IEC), preparing commissioning checklists for switchgear (AC, DC), and setting up IEC networks.

Hard Skills

  • Familiarity with Marine Industry standard codes and Classification society regulations

  • Experience in Marine System Integration involving Energy storage systems, power generation, and distribution (AC & DC)

  • Experience in hybrid multi-drive systems

  • Perform power system studies in ETAP and MATLAB

  • Broad knowledge in vessels type and design

  • Experience in Low & Medium voltage AC system design

  • Experience in Switchgear Interlocking and protection design activities

  • Writing Protection and Control Functions descriptions

  • Developing input/output lists for electrical systems/apparatuses

  • Developing technical specifications based on customer and system requirements

  • Reviewing/verifying technical proposals and generating gap analyses

  • Relay Programming (Logic and IEC)

  • Preparing commissioning checklists for switchgear (AC, DC)

  • IEC Network setup

  • Electrical System experience with switchgear protection delays

  • Power System Analysis

  • System Studies - SKAM

  • Experience integrating automation

  • Marine Industry Experience
