Job Title: Platform Systems Engineer

Job Description

The Platform Systems Engineer will perform and participate in leadership and expertise on platform architecture definition, requirement definition, and performance analysis for the following subsystems: Telemetry, Tracking, and Telecommand, Control and Data Handling, Electrical Power Systems, Attitude Determination and Control Systems, Electrical Propulsion Systems, Thermal Control Systems, and Flight Software. This role involves working in the architecture of the satellite. Experience in the satellite lifecycle from conception (bid/proposal) to operation is critical. You must understand mission analysis. You will work closely to monitor the suppliers' design and progress review. Systems engineering responsibilities and activities include requirement definition, SOC, verification and validation, budgets, equipment specifications, test requirements, and design descriptions for the platform subsystems based on the mission requirements. This role requires support to program milestones (EQSR, SRR, PDR, CDR), satellite/platform assembly, integration, and testing. You will attend all test reviews (TRR, TRB, CRB, and NCRs) and support platform testing (EGSE, test supervision, data analysis), digital circuit and radio frequency harness design, platform and payload layout, and in-orbit testing (IOT).

Hard Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Systems Engineering - requirement definition, flow down, design, performance analysis

• Experience in mission/vehicle subsystems including but not limited to Telemetry, Tracking, and Command (TT&C), Control and Data Handling (C&DH), Electrical Power Systems (EPS), Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS), Electrical Propulsion (PROP), Thermal Control System (TCS), Flight Software (FSW)

• Satellite lifecycle, mission analysis, conops

• Bids and proposals
