Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Nurse Navigator, Cancer Services- Hematology/Oncology in Houston, Texas

Responsibilities

The Nurse Navigator serves as a single point of contact for Hematology/Oncology/Radiation patients, their caregivers, and referring physicians to assist in accessing clinical and supportive services across the care continuum. This position will facilitate patient appointments, including diagnostics, specialty services, and consults, as well as offer educational and emotional support

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $$87,261 - $107,798 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: Graduate from an approved RN program

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience

Required: 2+ years clinical RN experience

1+ year oncology experience and/or related

Preferred: Ambulatory care experience

Navigation experience

License(s)

Required: Valid and current Texas RN license

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Assoc.

Completion of ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Fundamentals of Administration

OR

Certificate Course within 3 months of employment

Preferred: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification

Special Skills

Required: Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population

Basic computer skills

Experience with EMRs

Preferred: Epic experience

Experience with Microsoft Office

Other

Required: Clear communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred: N/A
