We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Energy/Natural Resources industry based in Houston, Texas. The role involves managing and supporting the company’s Operational Technology (OT) networks across multiple sites. Responsibilities:

• Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, infrastructure, backups, security, patching, applications, and connectivity for OT environments.

• Troubleshoot network, server, application, and endpoint issues in OT environments.

• Monitor security dashboards, respond to security alerts in OT systems and communicate status of our security posture to supervisor.

• Conduct security-related risk assessments of OT environments and implement appropriate safeguards, including making recommendations on improving security policies and controls.

• Review penetration testing reports on OT systems, prepare and execute action plans to address deficiencies.

• Configure OT-related networking equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls as needed.

• Manage OT integration projects.

• Track assets, licenses, and warranties of OT hardware and software.

• Liaise with OT vendors, contractors, and other IT groups as needed.

• Develop and document OT policies, standards, and procedures.

• Create and maintain OT network layout and procedural documentation.

• Cross-training with department teammates on OT systems.

• Handle multiple tasks, manage time effectively and work under pressure.

• Proficiency in OT network design and implementation.

• Experience with firewalls, content filtering, and risk assessment practices.

• Knowledge of disaster recovery practices in the OT environment.

• Availability for after-hours support and participation in 24x7 on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Network Administrator within the Energy/Natural Resources industry

• Proficient in managing Cisco Routers and Firewall Technologies

• Demonstrable experience with Microsoft technologies

• Knowledge and experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot network issues

• Must be willing to participate in ongoing skill development and training

• Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) are preferred
