Actalent Manufacturing Engineer in Houston, Texas

Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

This Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing the flow for the entire production process, including inbound logistics, defining manpower needs, and maintaining labor costs to maximize efficiency on the assembly lines. The role involves improving the efficiency of existing production lines by observing production, overseeing production lines to ensure optimal performance (compressors, driers, and blowers), identifying bottlenecks in the manufacturing process, and implementing solutions. The engineer will also implement lean processes such as JIT and Kanban, and attend production meetings to share findings related to manufacturing.

Hard Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering

  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing processes (JIT and Kanban)

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Houston, Texas.

Work Environment

40% in shop observing and improving production lines, 60% at desk, on-site Monday to Friday
