Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Lead Vascular/Echo Ultrasound Technologist in Houston, Texas

Responsibilities

Upon the order of a qualified healthcare provider, the Vascular/Echo Ultrasound Technologist will operate equipment using high frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Cardiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic to perform vascular and/or cardiac sonography. The Ultrasound Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS) as is applicable. May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties. These procedures may include EKGs, contrast echocardiograms, and report generation.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $ $86,604 - $106,971 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program

Preferred: Associates degree in related healthcare field

Or

Bachelor’s degree in related health field

Experience

Required: 5+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Tech and performing vascular and echocardiography

studies

OR

3 years of Kelsey specific Ultrasound experience

Preferred: Greater than 5 years’ experience performing vascular and/or echocardiography

Cardiology Ultrasound and Flow Lab equipment familiarity

License(s)

Required: RVT or RVS and RDCS or RCS

BCLS certification through American Red Cross

Preferred: N/A

Special Skills

Required: Basic computer, CRT, and typing experience.

Preferred: PACS and RIS experience

Speaks an additional language

Other

Required: May be required to work extended shifts in situations deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab

Supervisor or Cardiology Lab Manager.

Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Preferred: N/A
