Robert Half IT Support Technician in Houston, Texas
Description We are in search of an IT Support Technician to join our team in the Healthcare industry, based in Houston, Texas. As an IT Support Technician, you will be focused on providing advanced technical support across multiple locations, addressing workstation and printer issues, network troubleshooting, and assisting with biomedical engineering issues. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Delivering advanced technical support and resolving IT related issues.
• Traveling to various locations to perform break/fix duties.
• Dealing with workstation and printer issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Performing network troubleshooting to maintain connectivity.
• Assisting with biomedical engineering troubleshooting, specifically with local network issues to connect to machines.
• Transitioning from Service Desk Plus to ServiceNow to manage IT service management processes.
• Utilizing skills in Citrix Technologies, Dell Technologies, EO/IR systems, Mac Computers, Microsoft, Active Directory, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, and Deployments.
• Providing Deskside Support to ensure all IT related concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in Citrix Technologies is a must for efficient software management and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies is required to manage and maintain the hardware effectively.
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems is essential for this role to facilitate the monitoring and analysis of electronic optical/infrared images.
• Proficiency in using and troubleshooting Mac Computers is necessary for providing comprehensive technical support.
• Mastery of Microsoft software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Windows OS, is crucial for daily operations.
• Experience with Active Directory is necessary for managing network users and resources.
• Strong understanding of Computer Hardware is needed for troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Skills in Configuration Management are required for maintaining system security and performance standards.
• Experience with Deployments is important for managing the rollout of new hardware and software across the organization.
• Ability to provide Deskside Support for immediate resolution of technical issues is crucial for maintaining seamless operations. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
