Our pipelines transport natural gas, refined petroleum products, crude oil, condensate, CO2, and other products. Our terminals store and handle various commodities including gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, chemicals, metals, petroleum coke, ethanol and other renewable fuels and feedstocks PRIMARY PURPOSE Provide inventory management and investment recovery support to Operations and Project Management for all Kinder Morgan businesses. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Inventory Management:

  • Work with field personnel to set and track minimum and maximum inventory levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ensure appropriate levels are maintained by tracking usage rates and conducting physical audits.
  • Assist and perform inventory replenishment.
  • Perform inventory analysis to optimize inventory across Kinder Morgan businesses.
  • Work on inventory requirements associated with acquisition integration and divestures.
  • Recommend and implement process improvement initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and ensure best practices.
  • Participate in the creation of items, maintenance and support of the Lawson Item Master.
  • Assist Operations and Project Management by locating needed materials throughout Kinder Morgan.
  • Job level will commensurate with experience and knowledge

Investment Recovery:

  • Facilitate surplus sales and redeployments throughout Kinder Morgan.
  • Act as a liaison between the Business Unit and the Investment Recovery Company.
  • Execute Purchase Agreements and Bills of Sale.
  • Maintain Surplus database and work with Purchasing and Project Management to redeploy
  • Work with internal and external customers to achieve annual investment recovery goal.

Position Requirements

Position Requirements: Education/Experience/Knowledge:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Warehousing, Materials Management, Purchasing, Operations, Engineering or related field is required in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point.

  • Must be self-directed, take initiative, detail oriented and be an out-of-the-box thinker.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public
  • Must have strong communication (written and verbal), organization, problem-solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across Business Units.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel across a broad geographic region, as determined by the Hiring Manager.
  • Job level and salary commensurate with experience and skill sets.
  • Perform work in dusty environment and all types of temperature/weather conditions.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

Preferred Experience - above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position.

  • Experience with Lawson Inventory Control, Requisition and Procurement modules.
  • Knowledge of Kinder Morgan's business.
  • Background in oil and gas industry.
