DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

The ICS Engineer will possess strong working knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems - specializing in design, programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-up. Successful candidate will:

  • Perform design and development of the SCADA system. * Develop human-machine interface (HMI) screens, graphics, and dashboards for operators to visualize and interact with the system. * Create control logic, data acquisition strategies, and communication protocols to ensure efficient data exchange between field devices and the SCADA system.* Install, configure and deploy SCADA software and hardware components, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), RTUs (Remote Terminal Units), sensors, actuators, and communication networks.* Integrate SCADA systems with other industrial automation systems, databases, and enterprise IT systems to enable seamless data sharing and reporting.* Develop PLC and SCADA application code using programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagrams.* Write scripts to automate tasks, perform data analysis and enhance system functionalities.* Monitor system performance, data integrity and communication health to identify and resolve issues.* Analyze system logs, alarms and alerts to diagnose faults and anomalies and implement corrective actions.* Create comprehensive documentation, including system architecture diagrams, user manuals, configuration documents and standard operating procedures.* Develop and execute control system validation/testing protocols.* Troubleshoot, test, and start-up control systems onsite.* QA/QC Testing of control panels at panel shops.* Participate in the proposal process by providing technical information and estimations.* Verifies policies, procedures and quality standards are audited and being performed.* Performs other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSEE, BSME, or related Engineering degree from an accredited university, or commensurate experience* 5+ years of experience designing and programming control systems with emphasis on PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems is required* Experience with start-up and commissioning of automated equipment* Experience with various sensors, transmitters, actuators and flow meters* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required* Experience with control system networking technologies and PC networking technologies* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Valid driver’s license is required* U.S. Citizen* Must have the ability to obtain a Government Common Access Card (CAC)* Ability to travel up to 50%
