MD Anderson Cancer Center Imaging Research Specialist / QIAC in Houston, Texas

Shift / Hours / Location: Monday - Friday / 8am - 4:30 / Remote in the state of Texas - must be able to come onsite based on business needs.
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Quantitative Imaging Analysis Core in Quantitative Imaging analytics and to provide imaging analytics support to investigators.
Ideal Candidate will have experience with quantitative imaging (preferably with radiology training).
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Data Collection Responsible for assessment & collection of quantitative data; viewing lesions and determining baseline and follow-up measurements, metastatic disease, tumor/ lesion size and location
Image workflow Responsible for image processing including image workflow, archiving, auto routing, and other related activities into QIAC specific server for further review/analyses, including conducts user acceptance testing (UAT).
Coordination Coordinates, documents and maintains all interpretations performed on clinical trial data and assists in the organization, tabulation and analysis of data under the general supervision of management and/or Faculty leadership
Troubleshooting Proactively collaborates with faculty and staff across multiple departments in the Institution to resolve issues/identify solutions; requiring strong problem solving and analytical skills focused on results. Works with physicians to address any discrepancies related to image findings.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Medical Imaging or related field.
Preferred Education: Master's Level Degree
Certification: None
Preferred Certification: Master's degree or higher education
Experience: One year experience in medical imaging or medical sciences.
Preferred Experience: Experience with imaging aspects of clinical trials; Familiarity with oncology image-based tumor response criteria.
