Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Engineer to join our team! This position would be based out of either our Austin or Houston offices, however willingness to travel to supplier, client, site investigation locations or construction site locations may be required.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Environmental Engineering or Civil with environmental focus preferred.

  • Performs various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of principles and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering or equivalent program, and available data in the related field.

  • Prepares or assists in preparing fundamental engineering computations, design reports, documents associated with field work, sampling and reporting, and engineering assessments. This role will involve authoring of documents for client and regulatory submittal (e.g., feasibility study reports, design reports, etc.) and preparation/review of technical specification documentation.

  • Manages or assists manager in in execution of field work including sample collection and subcontractor oversight. Will work with a Project Engineer in developing design requirements and providing oversight and inspection services in the field.

  • Prepares of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.

  • Reviews small portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses.

  • Prepares and issues of specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.

  • Provides input to CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same project and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.

  • Communicates daily field operations and project information to the Project Manager/Senior Engineer. Can create presentations, review and edit project deliverables and maintain organized documentation of work on given project directory.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and 3-5 years of related work experience.

  • Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering with an Environmental concentration preferred

  • In addition, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.

Salary Range:

$61,200.00 - $107,100.00
