Job Description:

Capgemini Engineering seeks a dynamic Client Partner - Energy to join our team. The Client Partner is responsible for researching and pursuing current clients and new business leads for the growth of the business. You will play a pivotal role in fostering client relationships and driving new Engineering Services bookings within the Energy sector (Oil & Gas). You will also be a key player in promoting Capgemini’s engineering services value to major Energy (Oil & Gas) customers in the US, with a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion (D&I) in all client interactions and solutions.

  • Relationship Management: Leading existing client relationships and driving new Engineering Services bookings within the Energy sector (Oil & Gas) for both established and prospective clients.

  • Solution Delivery: Developing and presenting engineering solutions directly to clients, coordinating with domain experts and other solution owners within the company.

  • Value Promotion: Highlighting the value of Capgemini’s engineering services to major Energy (Oil & Gas) customers in the US.

  • Autonomous Operation: Operating autonomously in sophisticated environments, managing significant aspects of Capgemini activities, and handling last-minute changes efficiently and calmly.

  • Sales and Promotion: Presenting, promoting, and selling solutions/services using well-crafted arguments to both existing and prospective customers.

  • Executive Engagement: Engaging with customers at VP and C-Suite levels, particularly those responsible for professional services and engineering.

  • Sales Process Management: Generating leads, qualifying opportunities, negotiating terms, and closing deals to drive profitable growth.

  • Relationship Development: Researching, mapping, establishing, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with prospects and client team members.

  • Collaborative Sales Planning: Collaborating with other Sales Leaders to identify major opportunities in specific focus areas (sector, offers).

  • Market Analysis: Analyzing the territory/market potential, supervising sales, and providing status reports.

  • Client Relationship Management: Managing client relationships independently or with support from a client Leader, identifying the client’s key engineering challenges, preferences, and purchasing triggers.

  • Deal Structuring: Structuring and shaping deals for value, demonstrating, and providing input on offerings, services, and capabilities.

  • Business Growth: Being responsible for revenue, order bookings, and P&L for the client business, aiming to grow the business.

  • Repeat Business Development: Developing repeat business by understanding the client context, upselling, and cross-selling; developing reasons and value; providing strategic recommendations to shape the client value proposition and create winning pitches.

  • Client Engagement Monitoring: Supervising client engagement levels closely, conducting periodic business reviews, and implementing measures to gain traction with the client.

  • Sales Target Achievement: Achieving agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the scheduled timeframe.

Required Skills:

  • Experience: 10 years of sales experience in selling engineering, design, and consulting services.

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong industry knowledge and demonstrated ability in the Energy (Oil & Gas) sector and related engineering services.

  • Client Engagement: Shown experience selling to Energy customers (e.g., ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, BP, Baker Hughes, SLB) for professional services and engineering deployments.

  • Solution Selling Expertise: Extensive background in solution selling, including Product Engineering, Software Engineering, Digital Engineering, Manufacturing, and Design.

  • Complex Business Models: Ability to sell creative and complex business models to clients.

  • Deal Leadership: Experience in independently winning and leading deals valued at $10 million in Engineering services and solution sales.

  • Consultative Relationships: Track record of building deep, consultative, trust-based relationships with strong client references.

  • Senior-Level Relationships: Proven ability to build senior-level client relationships.

  • Sales Planning: Ability to develop sales plans for assigned geography and individual account plans.

  • Customer Management: Skill in identifying, mobilizing, and managing internal and external collaborators to achieve revenue goals.

  • Strategic Understanding: Understanding and implementing company strategy (financials, offerings, segments, target accounts).

  • Financial Competence: Strong understanding of financials, profitability, and cash flow.

  • Value Selling Focus: Focus on value selling and high-value models of selling.

Nice to Have Skills :

  • Proven experience selling creative complex business models and engineering and design services into Energy oil and gas customers, strong background in solution selling – Digital Engineering, Manufacturing and Design.

  • Won and led deals of $10million independently in Engineering services and solution sales.

  • Proven track record to build deep, consultative, trust-based client relationships strong knowledge, understanding client’s business with references of 15 years.

  • Ability to lead one large or multiple small programs and develop sales plan for the assigned customer portfolio and individual Account Plans.

  • Identification, mobilization, and management of internal and external partners for achieving revenues.

  • Passionate about value selling and high-value models of selling with understanding and implementation of company strategy on financials, offerings, segments, target accounts.
