Xylem Elite Field Service Technician in Houston, Texas

Core Responsibilities and Tasks:

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for maintaining our water treatment equipment at various customer sites. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, RO's. CDI's, MMF, Softeners, carbon filters and various pump skids and associated equipment, including control valves, motors, VFD's and 24VDC devices and instrumentation. Equipment specific training will be provided. Willing to train the right person, but previous technical/mechanical/plumbing experience is especially encouraged.

Travel Requirements:

• 80% travel required

Position Requirements:

1. FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• Technical military background

• Tech Cert, Degree or industry specific license(s)

2. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)

• Ability to obtain DOT Medical card

• Clean driving record

• Work experience preferred

• 5 to 7 years of technical work experience with water treatment equipment

• Electrical, mechanical, diesel, fusion experience depending on business unit

• Work without direct supervision and provides coaching/training to junior-level technicians

• Technically sound

• Experience with Microsoft Office

• Must have customer service experience

• Demonstrates critical thinking and complex troubleshooting ability

• Basic controls ability (PLC)

• Synthesizes technical information and communicates it clearly

• Derives insight from customer experience to produce outcomes and solve complex problems often in novel and unexpected ways

Salary range:

$64,500.00 - $103,500.00
