Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Echo/Doppler Tech II-Certified - Cardiology Lab in Houston, Texas

Responsibilities

The Cardiology Lab Echo/Doppler technician is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound studies, and when not occupied with those duties, acts as the administrative and technical support for all procedures provided by the cardiology lab. These procedures include EKGs, Holter monitoring, event monitoring, stress treadmill testing, nuclear stress testing, trans-telephonic pacemaker checks, tilt table testing, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, trans-thoracic echocardiograms, satellite test transmissions and result coordination.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $ 70,267 - $86,816 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited echo cardiographer training program

Preferred: AAS

Experience

Required: Two years echo cardiographer experience

Preferred: EKG testing, Holter monitoring, Event monitoring, and Transtelephonic pacemaker systems or

similar experience.

License(s)

Required: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or CCI)

BCLS certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred: N/A

Special Skills

Required: Basic computer, CRT, and typing experience

Preferred: Speaks an additional language

Other

Required: May be required to work extended shifts in situations deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab

Supervisor or the Exercise Physiologist Coordinator.

Preferred: Willing to cross train to support other Cardiology Lab functions, and expand services.
