Robert Half Division Controller in Houston, Texas

Description

We are now recruiting for a Division Controller role to be based in Houston, Texas.

This role will be overseeing the involves the full accounting and analysis needs supporting an assigned business unit with operations in the US and CAN, where you will be responsible for managing financial activities, offering strategic financial insights, and partnering with senior leadership. This position involves strategic thinking and financial expertise, and it will play a crucial role in the company's growth and expansion.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Profit and Loss for the division, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

• Play a pivotal role in forecasting and budgeting efforts by providing data-driven insights for decision-making.

• Lend your financial expertise to merger and acquisition activities.

• Collaborate with operational leadership, offering financial guidance and strategic input.

• Serve as a trusted business advisor on financial matters for the division's leadership team.

• Handle Controllership responsibilities, demonstrating strategic financial thinking.

• Drive, propose, and advise on business decisions using real-time financial data.

• Contribute significantly to the division's forecasting efforts.

• Actively participate in merger and acquisition activities.

• Provide critical support to operational leadership.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role as a Business Unit or Division Controller with revenues of at least $100MM.

• Proven track record in Business Transformation

• Demonstrable experience in Business Process Improvement

• Active CPA or MBA is required.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting; a Master's degree would be advantageous

• Excellent leadership and team management skills

• Strong analytical, strategic planning and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in financial management software

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills

• Solid understanding of financial management in Architecture industry

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• High level of integrity and professional ethics

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Excellent decision-making skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
