Sysco Director, Global Investigations in HOUSTON, Texas

Hybrid Role: In-office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Work from home on Thursday and Friday.
Summary:
The Director of Global Investigations will report to the Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer, and will be responsible for conducting, managing, and supporting investigations globally. This includes areas such as employee relations, discrimination, retaliation, fraud, conflicts of interest, bribery and corruption, and antitrust. The role requires expertise in investigation techniques, data analytics, and developing recommendations and remediation plans. The Director will also contribute to the continuous improvement of investigation processes and provide training to colleagues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct and Manage Investigations:
Conduct, manage, and support investigations, including witness interviews, data analytics, and report writing.
Perform root cause analysis and develop recommendations and remediation plans based on investigation findings.
Training and Development:
Conduct investigation and fraud-prevention training for colleagues involved in investigations.
Prepare training materials, job aids, and develop investigation processes, including creating investigation manuals.
Data Analytics:
Utilize and incorporate data analytics into the investigation process to identify potentially fraudulent activities.
Provide visibility and insights through analytics to support investigations.
Management of Ethics Line:
Assist in the management of the Sysco Ethics Line, ensuring effective response and resolution of reported concerns.
Process Improvement:
Continuously improve investigation team processes and practices, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time, sometimes on short notice, to support investigations and related activities.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS :
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including written, verbal, and visual communication.
Proficiency in interview, investigation, and forensic techniques.
Capability to think creatively and develop alternative solutions to complex problems.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in investigations or audit-related roles.
Experience working in a large, complex, multi-national company is highly desirable.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. preferred but not mandatory.
Professional certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CFIP (Certified Forensic Investigation Professional), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) are preferred but not required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position may be performed from the Sysco Global Support Center facility based in Houston, Texas or remotely.
Travel may be required up to 20% to Sysco facilities or operating companies.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
